Puppy Training - Kindergarden
Primarily aimed at puppies in the 3 to 6 month age bracket.
Designed to introduce the new puppy to the basic obedience commands, Sit, Down, Stand, Basic Recall, an introduction to reward based training using the clicker.
We encourage the puppy to explore the environment by stimulating them through interactive play.
The puppy is also introduced to other dogs to encourage social interaction.
We recomend that new puppy's should be trained in the adoption of a crate as a "safe place" and as a bed for sleeping. The crate training also helps with potty training as the puppy generally will not soil their bed and is the recomended safe mode of transport in a vehicle.
In addition the use of the "PLACE" command is recomended. This trains the puppy to go to their safe place which can be a bed or a rug. This discourages activity like settee surfing which may become a problem behaviour when the pup reaches adulthood.
